Experience
I have been a practising therapist with individuals and couples for over 12 years and have worked in a variety of settings.
I worked for 3 years at a Day Hospice dealing with complex bereavement issues for people both with life threatening illness as well as traumatic and premature death of a loved one. I have also worked in a generalist counselling service in West London meeting clients with a broad range of issues and challenges.
I design and deliver workshops for other therapists on topics of common interest. Some examples of areas of interest would be anxiety, depression, anger and relationships.
Whilst I have specific interest in these areas, I do not specialise in them as I believe that every client is unique and that it is the quality of the relationship that is at the heart of successful therapy.
I also provide supervision both groups and individuals.
The range of issues that I have had experience of includes
- Relationship difficulties (including family problems)
- Anxiety and/or panic attacks
- Addiction
- Anger
- Abuse
- Depression
- Stress (work/exam/personal)
- Bereavement (and other forms of loss)
- Redundancy
- Trauma
- Personal and/or career development
- Low self-esteem/confidence
- Suicidal thoughts
- Desire for self-awareness
